I’m all for people being a huge fan of Star Wars, though I’m not a fan myself. I could care less what they do, but the line needs to be drawn at some point. My friend and a few of his buddies started this joke about being either Sith or Jedi, which I found amusing for the most part. My friend asked which side I was one, so I decided to just go with the joke and sided with the Jedi. Then he and another friend of mine brought lightsabers to school, which again I thought was kind of humorous. Now, however, I’m seeing more and more lightsabers, and I feel like I’m in preschool again. I don’t mind letting my inner child take over now and then, but when everybody is making a huge deal of it, things start to get annoying. I came to school to get an education, not to hear you obsess over wasting your money on a plastic piece of crap that will be neglected within the next month at least. It’s almost as bad as the whole kendama thing. It’s a freaking plague and I’m just ready to be done with kids here. What’s worse is that these kids go around making fun of people who still play with Yu-Gi-Oh cards, when what they’re doing is no better. The hypocrisy is atrocious and I’m going to be grateful for the day when I can finally move on and be away from all of this.
